Why we celebrate - Mother's Day

Have you told your Mom you love her lately? Have you explained why you love her and just how many things she's done for you, that she may not realize meant so much?

Mother's Day is a great time to celebrate your mother, it's true - celebrate her with gifts of flowers (carnations if Anna Jarvis, the 'Mother of Mother's Day' has her way), celebrate her with breakfast in bed or all of the other things we use to show our love.

But Mother's Day is much more than the gifts. Mother's Day is a time to stop and really think about all of the sacrifice your Mother (meaning not just your biological mother, but a woman, the woman who's been with you and helped you innumerable ways and times) has made for you. All of the little things she's done, all of the ways she's loved you and supported you.

Do that the best way that you can, the most meaningful way that you know how. That is why we celebrate Mother's Day.

Enjoy and spread the love. Happy Mother's Day!
